There's a lot of foreigners that after visiting the Philippines, they decided to stay for good as they fell in love with it. We couldn't blame them because the Philippines is naturally charismatic, as well as its people.

Among those is the family of Folkmans. The native American family has been living in the country for nine long years and they're loving it. They claim that they might not be a local but they have a Filipino heart.

In fact, they're living like a native Filipino as their home is full of folk art and native furniture like the currently in vogue Peacock rattan chair, their staircase features numbers written in Filipino.

According to Mrs. Folkman, her kids likes eating galunggong and suman whom their Yaya Chanda always cook for the three Folkman kids.

“My son requested for his birthday meal to be galunggong,” she said.

She also shared that she started using Instagram, @amommabroad, “to show my friends back home what life is like back in the Philippines.”
